For senior leaders

Leadership is demanding. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

Private retreats bringing carefully matched senior leaders together to discuss the human realities of leadership, restore perspective and build relationships with peers who understand the responsibility.

Private · Curated · Confidential

The person behind the role

Seniority does not remove pressure. It often makes it harder to discuss.

The more responsibility you carry, the fewer places you may have to speak openly about its effect.

Senior leaders are expected to remain calm, decisive and resilient while navigating risk, change, people and performance. The boundaries between work and life blur, difficult decisions accumulate and the warning signs of stress or burnout can become easy to overlook.

CXO Retreats creates a private environment in which leaders can step away, share honestly and gain perspective without needing to perform, present or defend a polished version of themselves.

Why leaders attend

Space for the conversations that rarely reach the agenda

The value comes from combining relevant peers, honest conversation, useful perspectives and enough time away to think clearly.

01

Speak with people who understand

Connect with leaders carrying similar responsibility without needing to over-explain the context or weight of the role.

02

Step outside the day-to-day

Create enough distance from meetings, decisions and constant demands to see priorities and personal pressures more clearly.

03

Become a more aware leader

Understand how your behaviour, wellbeing and leadership approach affect the people and culture around you.

04

Return with practical intention

Leave with relevant ideas, stronger peer relationships and commitments that can improve how you lead and live.

What we explore

The non-technical realities of executive leadership

Each edition is tailored to its leadership community, but the underlying human challenges often have much in common.

  1. 01

    Stress, pressure and burnout

Recognising personal warning signs and developing healthier, more sustainable responses to sustained responsibility.

  2. 02

    Work-life boundaries

Reconsidering availability, recovery, relationships and what sustainable executive performance looks like in practice.

  3. 03

    Leading healthier teams

Spotting when people may be struggling and creating cultures where support and high performance can coexist.

  4. 04

    Isolation and honest connection

Building relationships with peers who provide perspective without judgement, politics or internal organisational risk.

  5. 05

    Clarity and decision-making

Protecting judgement, energy and attention when the flow of information and difficult decisions rarely slows down.

Who the retreats are for

Carefully matched leadership communities

Each retreat is created for a specific executive community. Applications are reviewed individually to protect the seniority, relevance, balance and trust within the group.

  • C-suite and executive leaders
  • Group, global and regional functional leaders
  • Leaders carrying significant organisational responsibility
  • Executives responsible for substantial teams and change
  • Leaders willing to contribute openly and support peers

Your retreat journey

Considered before, during and after

The experience begins before you arrive and is designed to create relevance, familiarity and trust from the outset.

  1. 01

    Application and review

We review your role, responsibilities and relevance to the specific retreat community.

  2. 02

    Pre-retreat preparation

You share your current priorities and pressures, helping shape a programme around the actual group.

  3. 03

    Retreat Partner introductions

During the eight weeks before the retreat, you have a 30-minute introductory call with each participating Retreat Partner.

  4. 04

    The retreat experience

Facilitated peer conversations, relevant expert perspectives, wellbeing and destination experiences—all without technical or sponsored sessions.

  5. 05

    Continued insight and connection

Relevant Retreat Insights, peer relationships and Membership opportunities help the value continue after you return.

A trusted environment

Confidentiality makes honest leadership conversations possible.

Clear expectations around privacy, respect and non-attribution allow leaders to discuss difficult experiences without those conversations being repeated, published or connected back to them outside the group.

Retreat Partner transparency

Relevant relationships without a sponsored agenda.

A small number of Retreat Partners help make each edition possible. Their participation is deliberately structured to protect the experience for attending executives.

  1. 01

    One person per partner

Each partner is represented by only one person, maintaining the balance and intimacy of the group.

  2. 02

    A genuine C-suite participant

Partner representatives must be members of their organisation’s C-suite and participate as fellow leaders, not salespeople.

  3. 03

    Introductions take place beforehand

Each executive completes a 30-minute introductory conversation with every partner during the eight weeks before the retreat.

  4. 04

    No commercial agenda while away

There are no sponsor presentations, technical sessions, exhibition stands or forced meetings during the retreat.

Once at the destination, everyone participates in the same leadership conversations, wellbeing experiences, shared meals and destination programme.
