Private CISO Retreat · Menorca

The person
behind the role.

Menorca · May 2027

A carefully curated retreat for senior cybersecurity leaders to step away from operational pressure, speak openly with trusted peers and explore the human realities of leading in one of business’s most demanding executive roles.

Limited places · Application required

Why this retreat exists

Cybersecurity leadership carries a particular weight.

CISOs are expected to remain calm, decisive and resilient while carrying risks that rarely switch off.

The role sits at the intersection of technology, business, regulation, reputation and human behaviour. The pressure is constant, the consequences can be significant and the people around you may not fully understand the responsibility you carry.

This retreat creates space for conversations that rarely fit into a board meeting, industry conference or technical agenda: stress, burnout, isolation, mental health, work-life balance, leadership effectiveness and supporting teams under sustained pressure.

It is not another cybersecurity conference. It is a private, carefully facilitated environment in which senior leaders can speak honestly, learn from one another and return to their roles with greater clarity and perspective.

What we will explore

The non-technical realities of being a CISO

The programme combines confidential peer discussion, relevant expert perspectives and practical ideas that leaders can take back into their working lives.

01

Pressure, stress and burnout

Recognising the effects of sustained responsibility, understanding personal warning signs and developing healthier responses to pressure.

02

The isolation of senior leadership

Exploring the reality of being the person others look to for answers while often having few places to speak openly yourself.

03

Leading healthier teams

Spotting when team members may be struggling, opening better conversations and creating cultures where performance does not come at the expense of wellbeing.

04

Sustainable executive performance

Reconsidering boundaries, work-life balance, recovery and the habits required to lead effectively over the long term.

The retreat experience

Space to connect, reflect and reset

The retreat balances structured conversation with unstructured time, destination experiences and opportunities to recover perspective. There are no exhibition halls, sales pitches, technical sessions or sponsor presentations.

Day one

Arrive and connect

Arrival in Menorca, time to settle in and an informal welcome that allows the group to begin building genuine relationships.

Core retreat day

Talk honestly and think differently

Facilitated peer conversations, expert perspectives, smaller discussions and space to explore leadership pressure, resilience, mental health and healthier team cultures.

Final morning

Reflect and return

A slower final morning to consolidate the experience, identify practical commitments and return to leadership with greater clarity.

The detailed programme, timings and contributors will be shared with confirmed participants ahead of the retreat.

The destination

Menorca creates the space to step back.

Quieter and more understated than its neighbouring islands, Menorca offers the right environment for a retreat built around perspective rather than distraction.

Time outdoors, movement, mindfulness, shared meals and carefully selected local experiences create the distance needed to slow down, connect properly and think clearly.

Retreat Partners

Relationships without a sponsored agenda.

The Menorca CISO Retreat will be supported by a small, carefully selected group of Retreat Partners. Their involvement makes the experience possible, but does not turn it into a sales or technical event.

  1. 01

    One representative per partner

Each partner is represented by only one person, protecting the intimacy and balance of the group.

  2. 02

    A genuine C-suite leader

The representative must be a member of the partner’s C-suite and participates as a fellow executive—not as a salesperson.

  3. 03

    Introductions before Menorca

During the eight weeks before the retreat, every participant will have a 30-minute introductory conversation with each Retreat Partner.

  4. 04

    No sponsor sessions while away

There are no sponsor presentations, technical sessions, exhibition stands or forced commercial meetings in Menorca.

Build familiarity before arrival. Focus on leadership while away.

The introductory calls allow relevant professional relationships to begin before the retreat and remove the need for commercial activity during the programme.

In Menorca, everyone participates in the same leadership conversations, shared meals, wellbeing experiences and destination programme.
