Important distinction

Applications are not bookings

Registering interest or applying does not guarantee acceptance, attendance or create a confirmed booking.

Section 01

About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to the website operated by CXO Retreats Ltd and to general enquiries, registrations of interest and applications submitted through the website.

CXO Retreats Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17342037. References to “CXO Retreats”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean CXO Retreats Ltd.

These are not the complete booking terms for a physical retreat. Confirmed participants and Retreat Partners may be required to accept separate attendance, payment, cancellation, confidentiality or partnership terms.

Section 02

Accepting these terms

By accessing or using this website, or submitting an enquiry, registration or application, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, you should not use the website or submit information through it.

If you use the website on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that organisation where relevant.

Section 03

Website and retreat information

We aim to ensure that website information is clear and accurate. However, retreat concepts, dates, destinations, venues, contributors, agendas, inclusions and availability may be provisional or subject to change.

Website content is provided for general information and does not constitute a binding offer, guarantee or promise that a particular retreat, benefit, speaker, activity or opportunity will be provided.

We may update, withdraw, postpone or amend website content and proposed retreat information at any time.

Section 04

Eligibility and accurate information

The website and CXO Retreats community are intended for adults aged 18 or over.

When submitting information, you agree to:

  • Provide information that is accurate and not misleading
  • Submit information about yourself or with proper authority
  • Keep relevant details reasonably up to date
  • Not impersonate another person or organisation
  • Not knowingly omit information material to an application

We may reject or withdraw an application if information appears materially inaccurate, misleading or incomplete.

Section 05

Retreat registrations and applications

Physical CXO Retreats are limited and carefully curated for particular leadership communities. Registering interest or submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or a place.

We may consider factors including:

  • Your role, seniority and areas of responsibility
  • Relevance to the retreat’s leadership community
  • Group balance, experience and organisational representation
  • Willingness to participate openly and respect confidentiality
  • Capacity and operational requirements

We are not required to accept an application or provide detailed reasons for a selection decision.

A retreat place is confirmed only when we provide written confirmation and any required attendance terms, payment terms or other conditions have been accepted.

Section 06

Membership applications

CXO Retreats Membership is application-led and intended for a relevant senior-leader community.

Submitting a Membership application does not guarantee acceptance. We may review role, seniority, relevance, professional background and community fit.

Membership does not automatically guarantee:

  • A place at a physical retreat
  • Access to every item of content or activity
  • Participation in every private conversation or programme
  • Any particular commercial or professional outcome

We may introduce additional Membership terms, features or fees in the future. Any material terms applying to a paid service will be presented before purchase or commitment.

Section 07

Retreat Partner enquiries

Retreat Partner places are deliberately limited and subject to review. Registering partnership interest does not guarantee availability, category exclusivity, executive access or acceptance.

We may consider:

  • Relevance to the particular retreat community
  • The suitability of the proposed C-suite representative
  • Group balance and existing partner participation
  • Alignment with the retreat’s values and low-pressure model
  • Operational and commercial requirements

A partnership exists only when a separate written partnership agreement has been completed.

Partnership does not guarantee sales, projects, revenue, pipeline or any other commercial result.

Section 08

Pre-retreat partner introductions

Confirmed participants may be asked to complete a 30-minute introductory conversation with each participating Retreat Partner during the eight weeks before the retreat.

The purpose of these conversations is to establish familiarity and allow the destination programme to remain free from sponsor presentations, technical sessions and forced commercial meetings.

Final requirements, scheduling arrangements and the number of introductions will be confirmed as part of the specific retreat attendance terms.

Participants and partners remain responsible for their own commercial decisions and any relationship that develops from an introduction.

Section 09

Confidentiality and community conduct

CXO Retreats is designed to support honest conversations in a trusted environment. Participants, members, contributors and partners may be required to agree to specific confidentiality and conduct expectations.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, you should not:

  • Attribute another participant’s comments without permission
  • Share private personal experiences disclosed within the group
  • Record private sessions or conversations
  • Publish participant lists or contact details without authority
  • Use confidential discussions for unsolicited public content
  • Behave in a way that undermines the safety or trust of the group

We may exclude or remove an individual from an activity where their conduct threatens confidentiality, safety, trust or the experience of others.

Section 10

Leadership, wellbeing and health content

CXO Retreats may discuss stress, burnout, mental health, resilience, mindfulness, work-life balance, leadership and wellbeing.

This is not medical or therapeutic advice

Website content, interviews, podcasts, Retreat Insights, discussions and retreat activities are provided for general information and leadership development. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, counselling or emergency support.

You should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional regarding medical, psychological or health concerns.

If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services or an appropriate crisis-support provider.

Participants remain responsible for deciding whether they are physically and medically able to take part in a particular activity and for disclosing relevant accessibility or safety requirements.

Section 11

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the website and its content—including branding, copy, designs, graphics, Retreat Insights, guides, audio, video, interviews and programme materials—are owned by or licensed to CXO Retreats Ltd.

You may view and use website content for your own lawful, personal and internal professional purposes.

Without prior written permission, you must not:

  • Copy or reproduce substantial website content
  • Republish or commercially exploit our materials
  • Remove ownership or copyright notices
  • Present our content as your own
  • Use our branding, logo or name to imply endorsement
  • Create derivative commercial products from our materials
Section 12

Information and content you submit

You retain ownership of information and original content you submit to us.

You give us permission to use submitted information as reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to your enquiry
  • Review an application
  • Manage Membership or retreat participation
  • Arrange relevant introductions
  • Provide and improve our services
  • Meet legal and operational requirements

We will not publicly use your name, image, testimonial, recorded contribution or personal story for promotional purposes without an appropriate agreement or permission.

Section 13

Prohibited website use

You must not use the website to:

  • Break any applicable law or regulation
  • Submit fraudulent, misleading or unlawful information
  • Transmit malware or interfere with website security
  • Attempt unauthorised access to systems or information
  • Collect or scrape information without permission
  • Harass, threaten or infringe the rights of another person
  • Send spam or unauthorised commercial communications
  • Damage the website, community or reputation of CXO Retreats

We may restrict access or take appropriate action where misuse is suspected.

Section 14

Third-party services and links

The website may link to or use services operated by third parties, including HubSpot, hosting providers, social networks, venues, travel providers and other suppliers.

Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability or independent activities.

A link or introduction does not necessarily constitute an endorsement or guarantee.

Section 15

Availability and liability

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CXO Retreats Ltd will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from general use of the website, reliance on informational content, or an unsuccessful application.

We are not responsible for commercial, investment, employment, medical, legal or organisational decisions made on the basis of general website or community content.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded

Any liability relating to a confirmed retreat, paid Membership or partnership will also be governed by the specific written agreement applying to that service.

Section 16

Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain and protect personal information.

The website may use essential cookies and, with appropriate consent, analytics or marketing technologies. Cookie choices can be managed through the website’s cookie controls when available.

Section 17

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our website, services, business model or legal obligations change.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after an update means the revised terms will apply from that point.

Material changes to a confirmed paid service will be handled under the specific agreement governing that service.

Section 18

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives an individual a right to bring a claim in another court.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
